A Bathing Ape Roadstas

grnblu_roadsta-1.jpg

As you may be aware, the Bathing Ape Roadstas dropped yesterday in Japan, and today in NYC. They sold out quick and quantity was very limited, with some sizes not availible at all, and some colors limited to a few at each stores. You would be lucky to see more than 20 pairs of these at most Busy Work Shops. They dropped in 6 colorways, to go with each camo, red, green, purple, pink, blue, and white. MINMI x Nike

MINMI x Nike

Japanese Reggae/Hip-Hop artist MINMI has teamed up with Nike Japan to produce both an Air Force 1 and a Court Force High.

[The Air Force 1] features Wave inspired imprints on the leather uppers. 2 kanji (Chinese characters) stitched on both sides of the heel. They represent Crane and Turtle. Both are symbols of longevity, which MINMI feels best fit for her concept of Japanese culture. [The Court Force High] pays homage to the source of Reggae, the island nation of Jamaica. It incorporates the essences of Jamaica: Jamaica’s national flower Lignum Vitae and the national bird Dr. Bird (swallow-tail humming bird). A monogram imprint of the Moon, which symbolizes femininity in Japanese culture, can be seen on the leather upper.
