After a welcomed return of the Air Flight Lite in 2008, 2009 brings us an OG colorway. While they may not be the most flashy release of this shoe in recent memory, they are aguably the most timeless. Early pictures revealed a black leather upper, but Nike stuck with it’s roots and kept things nubuck. [NiceKicks]
After a long anticipated wait, we finally get these Nike Foamposite Eggplants in retailers and available for purchase. They feature a purple upper with a clear sole and all the durability you have come to expect from a Foamposite shoe. These are not advised to be slept on. {NiceKicks]
This begins the start of the Championship Series, which includes the Jordan Six Rings and these Jordan 1 Lows in Phoenix Suns colorways. The first is the home colorway in white patent and regular leather with a canvas swoosh, and an orange gum midsole. The away colorway has a black nubuck upper with purple stitching and a white swoosh. Just like the home colorway, it has an orange midsole but the outsole is purple. [SneakerNews]
Here is a new colorway of the Nike Hypermax in White/Orange. These take a direct influence from the Hyperdunk, with the ankle strap, high cut and full sole Air Max unit. The flywire technology keeps this shoe extremely light. These will be showing up on the courts of pro and semi-pro levels soon, check back to find out when they will be available to you. One thing that no one can say about Nike is that they aren’t innovative. These dunks are a collaboration with Neil Gaiman, the author of Coraline. The upper features a hand sewn black visible seam, and cat and mouse lacelocks with matching tails. Henry Selick designed the oversized buttons which appear on only 100 pairs, and actual movie props can be found in 50 boxes. There are also glow in the dark soles which make these some of the most unique shoes this year. [SneakerNews]
