Nike Basketball is turning the page on Devin Booker’s signature line with the debut of the Nike Book 2, a refined follow-up that blends classic hoops DNA with Book’s unmistakable style.
The Suns superstar worked hand-in-hand with Nike designers to craft a silhouette that feels as timeless as the game itself. A low-profile, court-hugging shoe inspired by skateboarding, vintage cars, and the golden era of Nike Sportswear. The result? A modern classic built for players who want to feel the floor without sacrificing bounce, cushioning or stability.
Booker’s mission for the Nike Book 2 was simple: get lower to the ground and closer to the action. Nike responded with a streamlined design anchored by a forefoot Air Zoom unit, Cushlon 3.0 midsole, and a plush foam sockliner for comfort straight out of the box.
“A big thing for me was feeling the court. I wanted to honor classic shoes — one that stands out is the Air Zoom Spiridon. And for the early colorways, it only felt right to start with Phoenix-inspired orange and black.” – Devin Booker

Nike continues that nostalgia-meets-modern approach with a durable Air Force 1–inspired outsole, updated with a sun-washed herringbone traction pattern that nods to the Arizona desert. Look closely and you’ll spot cactus-themed details and tiny hand-drawn asterisks from Book himself. A lateral outrigger widens the base for increased stability during explosive side-to-side movement.
Book and the Nike team explored multiple midfoot-containment ideas before landing on two distinct looks:
- Webbed mesh upper (Spiridon-inspired) for lightweight breathability
- New molded upper for a sleeker, more modern shape with the same secure lockdown
According to lead footwear designer Ben Nethongkome, the Book 2 builds on the philosophy behind the Book 1: classic outside, supercharged inside. Lowering the overall profile let Nike shift the Air Zoom unit from heel to forefoot, dialing in the responsive ride Booker wanted — all at a lighter weight.
From his 11 seasons in Phoenix to his breakout college years, each colorway in the Book 2 lineup speaks to Book’s connection to the desert, the culture, and the game. Expect storytelling to play a major role as pairs roll out through 2026.
Book 2 Apparel: Sun-Faded Style With Classic Hoops DNA

Alongside the footwear, Nike is launching Booker’s new apparel capsule: eight premium pieces washed in a sun-faded finish that mirrors life under the Phoenix heat.
The collection blends vintage basketball cuts with heavyweight fabrics, laser-etched detailing, and rugged-meets-tailored construction — perfect for tunnel fits or everyday wear. Nike designers experimented with dyes, washes, and textures until they landed on the worn-in aesthetic that ties the whole capsule together.
Pieces include:
- Long-sleeve tees honoring Book’s Cane Corso, Haven
- A raw-edge cutoff shirt built to Booker’s exact specs
- A woven jacket and matching game pant
- A brushed hoodie, shorts, and pants
The Nike Book 2 footwear and apparel collection launches January 2026 on nike.com and at select retailers.
