Nike’s legendary partnership with Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is back for a milestone year! The 2025 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection marks twenty one years of empowering young patients to design their dream kicks and this year’s line up has some really hidden features.
Since 2004, the Doernbecher Freestyle program, that has partnership between NIKE, Inc. and Oregon Health & Science University’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, has raised more than $40 million for children’s health. Each year, six young patients get the chance to design their own Nike sneakers, turning their stories into one-of-a-kind creations.
The 21st edition of the Doernbecher Freestyle Collection includes six bold footwear designs and two apparel pieces inspired by each designer’s vision. Every pair helps fund care for families in need and supports groundbreaking research that changes lives worldwide.
The collection brings six bold sneakers crafted by the imagination and resilience of six young designers:
- Nike Air Max Plus by Sergio Cano Marquez
- Nike Vomero Plus by Molly Bell
- Nike Air Max Dn8 by Raegan Scheid
- Nike Air Force 1 Low by Oli Fasone-Lancaster
- Nike V2K Run by Khovny Vignery
- Air Jordan 17 Retro by Zach Rumbaugh
The Nike Doernbecher Freestyle footwear collectioon and apparel first become available at auction in Portland on October 17, 2025. A wider release will for the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle collection is set to be released sometime in Winter of 2025 via SNKRS and select retailers.
